The sunray finish provides subtle light reflections on many dials of the Oyster Perpetual collection. This is due to the skillful brushing technique that creates grooves from the center of the dial to the outside.
fluted bezel
The Rolex Fluted Bezel is a symbol of excellence. Originally, the notches on the Oyster bezel had a functional purpose, screwing the bezel onto the case and ensuring the water resistance of the watch. The indentation was therefore also applied to the back case, which was screwed into the case using Rolex's own tools for the same reason of maintaining water resistance. Over time, the bezel notch became a design element and a Rolex symbol. Today, the fluted bezel is a symbol of excellence and is produced exclusively in gold.
